Hi, I’m Teresa!
Spiral5 was started in 2017, because I got a little lost untangling the logistics of a new - but exciting - phase of my career. I had enjoyed my brush with agency life followed by a global in-house PR gig. But as I started my solo practice from scratch, working with companies to tell their story in the media for a fraction of an agency fee, I realized two things:
1. I love this!
2. HELP
Basically overnight, all number of curiosities were surfaced from the Cabinet of Freelance Wonders: How much do I charge? How do I format my proposal? When do I send invoices? How the hell do people afford [insert pricey media database platform here]?
And then it occurred to me: someone has done this before.
Spiral5 Collective was born in the most informal of ways. We coalesced as a small (but *fire emoji*) group of women across PR, communications and media. We just started talking to each other. This led to giving each other vacation days, client referrals, and the exchange of best practices, resources and information. Mostly, it’s just nice to know that you aren’t alone.
And now we’re sharing what we’ve learned.
With our new talent development programs, we’re helping a new generation of women pursue careers rooted in freedom and flexibility, while servicing the rebels who have paved the way.
